Supplementary Feeding

As a complimentary project to our psychosocial support programs, Masiye Camp initiated a supplementary feeding program in Matabeleland, in both rural and urban areas.

Objectives

  1. Provide supplementary food aid to 12’000 children and 6’000 adults affected by AIDS in 3’000 families
  2. Distribute milk powder supplements. Shipment is ready awaiting health authority clearance.
  3. Support with supplementary food aid, people living with HIV/AIDS who are on ARV support through MSF in urban Bulawayo. Document this partnership towards fostering a better understanding of such collaboration and its benefits for humanitarian aid programs.
  4. Provide emergency water supply through a small dam construction in Gulati for water harvesting and food production in one of the targeted areas where Home Based Care programs supporting people living with HIV/AIDS operates.
